1. About These Terms

Solace is an original fictional universe and character project maintained by BlueChimera. These terms explain how material published on the Solace website may and may not be used. These terms apply to Solace lore, writing, worldbuilding, original site text, character information, character presentations, and other project material published through the Solace website unless a specific item states otherwise. These terms are separate from BlueChimera's commission and adoptable Terms of Service. Commission payments, revisions, adoptable rules, commercial licenses for BlueChimera artwork, and client-specific rights continue to be governed by the regular BlueChimera TOS.

2. Ownership & Copyright

Solace, its original worldbuilding, lore, stories, written character material, and original site content are © BlueChimera unless otherwise stated. Characters presented as part of Solace may include designs originally created by other artists. Original designer credit and any applicable designer terms remain in effect where relevant. Nothing on this page is intended to erase or replace another creator's valid rights or terms. The fact that artwork appears on Solace does not mean BlueChimera claims authorship or copyright over every individual image. Commissioned, gifted, traded, or otherwise externally created artwork remains credited to its respective artist unless different rights were explicitly agreed upon.

3. Characters & Designs

Do not claim Solace characters, their identities, biographies, relationships, or original lore as your own.
Do not sell, trade, transfer, roleplay as, use as a mascot, or incorporate a Solace character into another project without permission from BlueChimera.
Do not make a copy, replacement, counterpart, relative, alternate version, or heavily derivative character whose purpose is to reproduce a specific Solace character with minor changes.
Normal artistic inspiration is fine. Direct copying or recognizably rebuilding a specific Solace character, design presentation, or lore concept is not.
A character being publicly viewable does not mean the character is open for offers, public roleplay, commercial use, or unrestricted reuse.

4. Artwork & Artist Credits

Solace hosts both artwork by BlueChimera and artwork created by other artists. Please respect the individual artist attached to each piece.

Do not remove, obscure, or crop out artist signatures or watermarks.
Do not claim artwork from the Solace site as your own.
Do not trace, resell, merchandise, or commercially exploit artwork found on Solace unless you have the necessary permission from the appropriate rights holder.
Reposting an individual artwork may require permission from the artist who created it as well as respect for the character owner.
Artist credit on Solace is not blanket reposting permission.
Where Solace provides an artist credit or profile link, please preserve that credit when discussing or referencing the piece.

5. Writing, Lore & Site Content

Do not repost substantial portions of Solace biographies, lore, scenes, timelines, worldbuilding, or other writing as your own.
Short quotations, screenshots, or references for commentary, discussion, or recommendation are generally fine when clearly credited and not used as a substitute for the original page.
Do not copy Solace writing or lore into another world, wiki, roleplay setting, character profile, story, comic, game, or similar project with only minor changes.
Do not present unofficial interpretations, fan theories, or outdated material as official Solace canon.

6. Fan Content

Personal, noncommercial fan art and fan-made content involving Solace characters is welcome as long as it is clearly presented as fan work and does not claim ownership of the characters or official canon.

Credit BlueChimera / Solace when practical, especially when posting work centered on a Solace character.
Do not present fan work as official Solace artwork, official lore, or canon material.
Do not sell fan merchandise or otherwise commercially use Solace characters without explicit permission.
Please respect established character identities and relationships when describing something as canon. Fan interpretations are not automatically part of Solace canon.

7. Restricted & Sensitive Content

Solace characters, stories, and related material may not be used in NSFW, explicit, fetish, hateful, discriminatory, extremist, or otherwise intentionally harmful content without explicit prior permission from BlueChimera.

Pornographic or explicit sexual content.
Fetish content.
Graphic sexual or otherwise highly sensitive material.
Hate speech or discriminatory material.
Racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, or otherwise abusive depictions.
Extremist, propaganda, harassment-based, or hateful use.
Intentionally defamatory, degrading, or malicious portrayals of Solace characters or material.
Problematic or sensitive content presented in a way that intentionally misrepresents Solace or its characters.

Sexual or explicit content involving minors or underage versions of characters is not permitted. Permission for one specific sensitive use does not imply blanket permission for other uses. If a use is unclear, assume it is not permitted unless permission has been given directly by BlueChimera.

8. AI, Machine Learning & Automated Replication

Content from Solace may not be knowingly submitted, uploaded, scraped, or repackaged for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, prompting, or supplying generative or machine-learning systems without permission from the appropriate rights holder.

Do not use Solace artwork as image-generation training material, style/reference input, dataset material, or character-generation material without permission.
Do not use Solace writing, lore, biographies, or scenes as training or fine-tuning material for writing generators or language-model datasets without permission.
Do not create automated character replicas, voice clones, or public character chatbots presented as an official or authorized version of a Solace character without permission.

This restriction also applies to externally created artwork hosted on Solace. BlueChimera cannot grant permission for uses that belong to another artist.

9. Commercial Use

Solace characters, lore, worldbuilding, branding, writing, and other original project material are not available for commercial use unless BlueChimera gives explicit permission for the specific use. Commercial use includes merchandise, paid publications, monetized games or applications, advertisements, paid character bots, NFTs, commercial models, or products substantially based on Solace material. Permission for one project or use does not create a general commercial license for unrelated uses.

10. Reposting, Mirrors & Archives

Do not mirror, scrape, archive, or republish the Solace website or large portions of its content as a replacement copy of the site.
Do not compile Solace artwork or lore into downloadable packs, repost galleries, databases, or archives without permission.
Linking to Solace pages and sharing ordinary previews or screenshots for discussion is fine as long as the source remains identifiable.

11. Other Artists & Designers

Some Solace characters and artworks involve other creators. Where another artist or designer has applicable terms, those terms remain relevant to their contribution. If a use would require rights that belong to another artist, BlueChimera's permission alone may not be enough. When in doubt, contact the relevant creator before using their work.

12. Permissions & Questions

If you are unsure whether a particular use is allowed, please ask before using the material. A specific permission applies only to the use that was actually approved unless otherwise stated. For Solace-related permissions or copyright questions, contact BlueChimera at:

13. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as Solace grows, new material is added, or project policies change. The current version published through the official Solace website should be treated as the active version of these terms.
